TITTLE:
Development of hangers with acaricidal capability through encapsulation technologies.
DESCRIPTION:
The goal of the ACAPER project is to develop new materials with acaricidal capability for manufacturing hangers. This goal was achieved by using microencapsulation technology to obtain materials with enhanced properties, giving them added value.
Once the acaricidal additive was microencapsulated, the material containing the additive (masterbatch) was obtained through the compounding process, which was then diluted in the injection process to manufacture hangers with this effect.
Afterward, the release of the additive and its acaricidal effect were analyzed to evaluate functionality, achieving a 60% reduction in the number of mites present in the sample.
