    Function

    The AV/E-748UV masterbatch acts as a HALS stabilizer, whose main aim is to protect the final piece from UV radiation and provides a strong resistance against the oxidation process.

    Its application delays the early aging of a plastic product that is intended to be exposed to solar radiation or adverse weather conditions. It must be noted that this type of products delays a degradation process that will eventually occur.

    Application

    A 2% dose will be sufficient for the masterbatch to provide an appropriate protection to most of its applications.

    The product’s optimum dose that provides the maximum protection varies according to the plastic resin that has been used in the process and the thickness of the final piece (please, feel free to contact our laboratory at laboratorio@colortec.es)

    • Aditivos: Contiene un aditivo estabilizador a la luz tipo HALS a un antioxidante para proteger la pieza: durante el proceso de transformación y de los procesos oxidativos del medio ambiente.

    • Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
    • Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) OF THE European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

    Advantages of using masterbatch

    • Physical Form: Pigment encapsulation reduces contamination in the manufacturing process. Besides, the absence of dust has a positive impact on the work environment.
    • Dose: Unlike powder pigments, it is possible to dose automatically.
    • MOISTURE: Powder pigments could be highly hygroscopic and, but as masterbatches are encapsulated in plastic support, the moisture absorption is really low.

    Important remarks

    • The product should not be stored in direct sunlight or near sources of thermal energy.

    COLORTEC QUÍMICA, S.L., ha realizado el proyecto “MEJORAS EN LAS LÍNEAS DE PRODUCCIÓN DE COLORTEC” con número de expediente INPYME/2023/726 para el que ha conseguido una subvención de 44.048,20 € correspondiente a la convocatoria para el ejercicio 2023, dentro de la sexta fase de implantación del Plan estratégico de la industria valenciana, de ayudas para mejorar la competitividad y la sostenibilidad de las pymes industriales de la Comunitat Valenciana de diversos sectores, convocada por la Conselleria de Innovación, Industria, Comercio y Turismo.

    COLORTEC QUIMICA S.L, ha realizado el proyecto “Desarrollo de perchas con capacidad acaricida mediante el empleo de tecnologías de encapsulación (ACAPER)” para el que ha conseguido el apoyo financiero de IVACE a través del Programa PROYECTOS DE I+D EN COOPERACIÓN (PIDCOP-CV) 2020, con una subvención de 23.521,50 €.
